YouTube Season 2

October 2020 -August 2021

We currently have over 25 videos in Season 1 and we've just started Season 2

Kunio's videos are pretty short, most under 5 minutes. Our philosophy is to show highlights, not to dive in and try to boost our YouTube channel. (We don't currently have one). We like to share and want you to see some of the places that we've been able to enjoy on our travels. Some may contain tidbits of educational content. LOL, We're teachers after all. Enjoy Season 1 Videos here.

Season 2 videos are below with the most current at the top.

First Boat Trip of the Summer - Torch Lake in Northern Michigan

2RT and friends first boat trip of the summer. June 4, 2021

We put in at Torch River on a beautiful Friday morning. The weather was partly cloudy and the Torch River was a chilly 57°. The day would warm up to the high 80°s.

The crystal clear water of Torch River and Torch lake did not disappoint. The favorite of tourists and locals. The sandbar is the place to be in the summer time and only a few boats were out around noon. We were surprised to see swimmers in the chilly spring water.

After tooling around a bit in Torch, we decided to try our hand at making the journey to Lake Bellaire by way of Clam River into Clam Lake and then to Grass River and finally into Lake Bellaire.

We followed a local through some shallow water along the Grass River. He mentioned that these lakes were down about 17” from last year.

The water warmed up as we moved out of The cool water of Torch. Lake Bellaire was 70°

We enjoyed the rolling hills that surrounded Lake Bellaire. We could enjoy viewing Shanty Creek Resort and Boyne Mountain Resorts off in the distance as we fired up the grill, toasted some buns and cooked some hamburgers. Summer has certainly arrived.

We kept the sun screen going as the temps warmed into the high 80°s. And we enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the deck of our friends new tiny home. It was the end to a perfect day in Northern Michigan.

Sunrises before 6am and sets around 9:30pm making the most of this Northern Michigan Summer!

Travel days and Tiffin Service in Red Bay, Alabama

Two Retired Teachers travel to Red Bay, Alabama for the Tiffin Service Center. Red Bay is Martha’s (our RV) home. Where she was built. The service center is super busy in the spring and fall. We were told that it would be a minimum of 5-7 working days. It is so busy that we couldn’t find a spot in Red Bay so we are in Belmont, MS. which is about 5 miles away.

We are 1 week into our stay and we’ve done some work on the RV, some wandering around, checking out RVs, and doing some sightseeing!

This video has our first couple of days of travel and some sightseeing. You’ll see Suwanee River State Park, Reed Bingham State Park, our stay overnight at Safe T Plus Steering.

While in the Red Bay Area we’ve been able to visit the worlds only Coon Dog Cemetery, and Rattlesnake Saloon. We also went back to Tupelo, MS. the home of Elvis Presley.

We are currently working on Martha. We decided to tear the L shaped sofa out. We don’t have a plan to replace it yet but we’re liking the room and flexibility of the now open space in our Open Road 36LA.

Enjoy!

2RT in Disney World part 2

Our Florida residence gave us a discount to stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground April 19-22, 2021. Here is part 2 of our stay. Disney's Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Campground and more! Enjoy.

2RT in Disney World part 1

We've always wanted to stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground! This beautiful campground lives up to it's reputation. Here is the first couple of days of our trip to Disney World and campground. Enjoy.

Lubbock, Texas

We are so thankful for good friends. We had such a wonderful time with their family, staying in the driveway, and spending time just being together. We were able to celebrate football games, soccer games, dance and more safely. Most of all celebrating a long time friendship. November 4-12, 2020

Hot Springs National Park

Our first time with Martha the RV in Arkansas. We we’re missing Arkansas. For some reason our travels have always taken us around this beautiful state. We’ve visited before but without the RV.

Here is our stay Oct. 29-31, 2020.

We enjoyed hiking in the National Park and sightseeing in town. We also bottled up some water to take with us straight from one of the hot springs. (143°)

We also enjoyed Garvin Woodland Gardens. Just beautiful.

Tishimingo State Park

Tishomingo State Park in Tishomingo, Mississippi October 26, 2020

Short hike today on the Outcroppings Trail Head. 2 mile easy hike. There are many rocks and roots on this hike. Trekking pole was good for us to keep a stable point crossing some of the rough rocks.

Amai, our dog loved the hike and took a swim and celebrated her 9th birthday. 🐾🎂

Campground:

Camping is quite interesting with many pads that have extreme drop offs and questionable sites. The pads are thick but sit on eroding fill making the edge of the pad, in many cases, the drop off to your site. Big rigs beware. Some of the sites have blacktop that is extremely uneven and full of holes. If reserving online, it may be best to call.

Cheaha State Park

We had a marvelous 2 days in Cheaha Staye Park hiking and taking in the beautiful Mt. Cheaha in Delta, Alabama Oct. 20-22, 2020.

The Bald Rock trail was very easy and handicapped accessible. There was a natural trail out to the edge of Bald Rock as well. We did this short hike after the clouds burned off in the morning.

We took some time for projects and laundry in the full hook up campsite. The park is a bit of climb to get to. We unhooked out towed, which made us feel a lot more comfortable. When it’s a first time adventure you tend not to take very many risks. The park is well kept and has security gates both into the park and into the camping area with coded gates.

Our evening hike was beautiful up the mountain to the lookout tower for a beautiful sunset.

Cloudland Canyon State Park

2RT Cloudland Canyon State Park and West Rim Hike.

Rising Fawn, Georgia - October 19, 2020.

This 2.5 mile hike is easy but has many rocks and roots to trip you up. Climbs are east but watch your step. It’s all worth it!! The views are amazing.

Check it out.
